How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrician – Long-Term Contract
    Location: Newmarket
    Rate: £200–£220 per day
    Contract: Long-term freelance
    Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Electrician to join the team on a long-term contract basis.
    The initial role will be based within a secured environment, working as part of a day-to-day reactive maintenance team. You must therefore be comfortable working in a secure environment and able to successfully complete the required security vetting.
    The Role
    You will be responsible for a range of reactive electrical maintenance tasks, including:
    * Reactive electrical maintenance and repairs
    * Fault finding and diagnostics
    * Electrical testing and inspection where required
    * Installing and replacing sockets and other electrical accessories
    * General electrical repairs and remedial works
    * Using power tools safely and effectively
    Long term opportunities to work across a wider range of public and private sector sites, including hospitals, educational establishments, social housing and other secure environments.
    Essential Requirements
    * Previous experience working as an Electrician
    * CSCS card
    * NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
    * Full UK Driving Licence
    * Own transport and tools
    * Ability to operate power tools
    * Fluent English communication skills
    * Ability to pass strict background checks and security vetting
    A current DBS would be advantageous. If you do not already hold one, assistance can be provided with obtaining this.
