How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    £150,000 salary plus 30% bonus
Opportunity to shape design standards for advanced AI infrastructure environments
Senior technical ownership across multiple disciplines
Exposure to executive stakeholders, EPCs, design consultants and specialist delivery partners

Review and provide technical input on consultant and contractor design packages
Work through detailed engineering considerations including power distribution, cooling strategies and structural requirements for high-density compute environments
Participate directly in design workshops and technical discussions with EPCs and consultants
Define technical requirements and review supplier and contractor responses
Build and develop technical leadership capability across electrical, mechanical, civil and BIM disciplines as the portfolio expands
Provide hands-on technical guidance while maintaining consistency across project delivery

Senior Manager, Data Centre Design Requirements:

Strong hands-on design experience in electrical or mechanical engineering within data centres or similarly complex mission-critical facilities

Knowledge of high-density compute environments, including GPU infrastructure considerations
Understanding of cooling strategies, including air and liquid cooling approaches
Experience challenging and influencing consultants, EPCs and technical stakeholders on engineering decisions
Ability to establish standards and processes from the ground up
Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical or a related disciplineDesirable Experience:

Experience working across European and US data centre markets and relevant codes
Exposure to liquid cooling technologies such as direct liquid cooling or cooling distribution units
    Chartered Engineer status or equivalent
