A Senior Manager, Data Centre Commercial & Procurement opportunity is available for a commercially driven professional who can build and lead the commercial, legal and procurement capability behind large-scale AI infrastructure development.
This role offers the opportunity to create the operating model from the ground up, taking ownership of major equipment sourcing, supplier negotiations, construction contracts and commercial risk management across complex data centre development activities.
You will work across technical, commercial and delivery functions, engaging with executive stakeholders, equipment suppliers, contractors, legal partners and project teams to establish robust procurement strategies and contract frameworks.

The Senior Manager, Data Centre Commercial & Procurement Role:
Negotiate framework agreements for major data centre equipment, including switchgear, generators, cooling systems and IT racks
Develop category strategies and supplier shortlists for critical infrastructure procurement
Run RFI, RFP and RFQ processes across data centre development projects
Support the drafting, negotiation and completion of EPC, PPA and land agreements with internal legal support
Manage commercial risk across a portfolio of development projects
Build and develop the procurement function as the organisation grows, while remaining hands-on with live negotiations
Work closely with project, engineering and delivery stakeholders to align commercial strategy with technical requirements
Senior Manager, Data Centre Commercial & Procurement Requirements:
Experience negotiating major equipment, construction or infrastructure contracts
Background in commercial contracts, procurement or legal contracting, either in-house or private practice
Experience within data centres, energy, infrastructure or similarly complex technical environments
Comfortable managing multiple negotiations and commercial priorities simultaneously
Experience procuring technical data centre equipment and working with specialist suppliers
Experience supporting data centre delivery, interface management and facilities management relationships
Working knowledge of FIDIC and NEC contract forms alongside EPC contracting
Pragmatic approach to commercial risk, with the ability to balance protection and delivery
Desirable Experience:
Qualified surveyor or equivalent commercial background
Experience working across UK, EMEA and US contracting frameworks
Established relationships with major MEP or construction suppliers
