How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrician

    Location:  Hull, East Yorkshire

    Salary: £20 an hour

    A M Hardy Electrical Ltd is currently seeking a qualified Electrician to join our growing team.

    We’re looking for a qualified Electrician to complete a varied role including EICR testing in private and social housing. And Electrical works across domestic and commercial Installations.

    You’ll work diligently ensuring every installation is safe, compliant and completed to a high standard.

    The role will primarily involve domestic electrical work, with occasional commercial contracts and maintenance tasks. With most of the work in the local area, prior experience in this field is highly desirable.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    Carrying out testing, fault-finding and remedial electrical work

    Replacing faulty wiring, controls, sockets and electrical components
    Upgrading domestic smoke alarm systems
    Completing site-specific health and safety risk assessments
    Identifying and reporting unsafe or non-compliant installations
    Updating job tickets and certification using a PDA system
    Working closely with other trades, planners and residents
    Skills and Qualifications

    Fully qualified Electrician with City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, AM2, and an ECS Gold Card.
    C&G 2391 or similar testing qualification
    Full clean, UK driving licence.
    Good time management and attention to detail
    Positive and professional approach
    Strong testing and fault-finding skill
    Legal right to work in the UK.
