Role overview of our Executive Assistant
The role of Executive Assistant will report directly to the CEO, this role is to support the whole of the executive management team of an established; fast growing and exciting global technology company. The role is diverse and challenging and will suit a person who is highly organised, self-motivated, and loves a challenge. This is a pivotal role suited to a highly capable Executive Assistant who operates as a trusted partner to senior leaders, anticipating needs, enabling effective decision-making, and ensuring priorities are executed seamlessly. This role enables leadership effectiveness by ensuring Directors can focus on delivering complex programmes, strategic priorities, and organisational performance.
Responsibilities Executive Assistant (not exhaustive):
Organise and co-ordinate the team and ensure that "stuff gets done"
Central point of coordination across Executive activity, maintaining visibility of priorities, actions, dependencies, identifying issues and helping ensure progress is maintained
Review Executive papers and outputs, ensuring they are clear, consistent and decision ready
High-quality written outputs - Producing meeting minutes and subsequent follow-up actions
Organise and produce confidential and sometimes complex management and board reports for internal and external use
Organising dairies and events for UK and International activities
Arranging and managing visits from customers and investors and managing correspondence, adapting flexibly to changing organisational needs
Sound judgement, professionalism and a proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to balance strategic awareness with attention to detail, anticipate issues, resolve challenges and continuously improve ways of working
Maintain full confidentiality of sensitive and confidential business issues
Prepare and track personal expenses and other ancillary expenditure
Perform ad hoc confidential project work as required
The role entails a high degree of trust, confidentiality and responsibility.
Skills & Experience - Executive Assistant (not exhaustive):
ESSENTIAL - Exceptional user of SharePoint and Microsoft packages including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
ESSENTIAL - Previous experience of providing EA / PA support to a CEO and Executive Leadership Team
Experience of Defence, Engineering, Project, Manufacturing or Governmental across international sectors would prove highly advantageous
Highly organised and able to work on own initiative with limitedsupervision
Discreet and confidential and able to handle issues with great sensitivity
Strong communication and influencing skills
Demonstrable ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities during busy periods
Is able to demonstrate a logical, proactive approach
Possesses a very high degree of attention to detail
Proven ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
