How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Client:

    Our client is a specialist MEP main contractor who have been established for over 10 years.

    They specialise in carrying out building services for the following sectors: commercial offices, residential, data centres and education. Their projects range from £10M-£50M MEP value.

    They are a top main contractor with an excellent reputation for their service and quality of work.

    The Role:

    You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of MEP works on site, with a strong mechanical focus. Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors and specialist trades. Oversee MEP installation across 330 residential apartments. Manage mechanical works associated with shell & core construction. Coordinate and oversee plant room installations. Manage and coordinate MEP riser installations. Ensure MEP works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements. Review drawings and identify design, coordination and installation issues.

    The ideal candidate:

    The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering/services background with proven experience on large-scale residential or apartment projects. Specific experience managing apartment fit-out works is desirable with the essential of Plant room, MEP riser and working on shell & core projects experience.

    A strong knowledge of mechanical building services and MEP coordination. With experience managing subcontractors and specialist MEP trades. Whilst having excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
