Are you a hands-on Sales Manager who knows how to get the best from a team?
 
We're recruiting for a growing, ambitious business looking for an experienced Sales Manager to take ownership of a small sales team and help drive the next stage of growth.

What you'll be doing

Leading, motivating and developing a small sales team.
Driving sales performance and increasing enquiry-to-order conversion rates.
Setting clear individual and team targets, KPIs and performance expectations.
Monitoring results and identifying where opportunities are being lost.
Coaching team members to improve their sales approach, confidence and conversion.
Ensuring enquiries and quotations are followed up proactively and consistently.
Reviewing sales processes and introducing improvements that help the team convert more business.
Ensuring customers receive an excellent experience throughout the sales and order process. 
About you
You'll ideally have:

Proven experience managing and developing a sales team.
A track record of improving sales performance and conversion rates.
Experience setting and managing sales targets and KPIs.
Strong coaching and people-management skills.
The confidence to challenge underperformance and recognise strong performance.
A proactive, commercially focused approach.
A hands-on management style – you're happy to get involved and lead from the front. 
Experience within manufacturing, construction, building products, home improvements or a technical/product-led sales environment would be useful, but isn't essential.
