Workshop Forklift Engineer - Sheffield

Job Title: Forklift Engineer
Location: Sheffield (depot based)  
Basic Salary: £28,000–£32,000
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
 
We are looking for a Workshop Engineer to join the team at our Sheffield depot.
 
This is a hands-on workshop position within a busy team, so we are looking for someone who is confident working independently.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

Servicing and maintaining a hire fleet of forklifts.
Carrying out LOLER inspections and associated checks.
Diagnosing and completing repairs and maintenance work.
Working primarily on Combilift equipment.
Ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard and is ready for hire.
Working independently and managing your workload effectively.
Supporting the wider workshop team as required. 
Experience you will need:

Previous engineering experience working with forklifts, plant machinery or HGVs.
Mechanical and fault-finding skills.
Experience carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance.
LOLER inspection experience would be beneficial.
The ability to work independently without requiring significant supervision.
A practical, hands-on approach and a strong focus on quality and safety. 
Your Package:

Basic Salary: £28,000–£32,000
Hours: 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday (40hrs)
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x, although there is currently no regular overtime available.
