Location: Home-based with regular site travel. Ideally on each site at least twice a month, with additional visits as required.
Role Overview
We're looking for a very senior H&S Manager professional to provide immediate support and bring structure and ownership to key areas of the H&S function.
The role will have a particular focus on incident investigation processes and H&S documentation, ensuring processes are being followed correctly and outstanding work is brought to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Take control of the incident investigation process and ensure the correct procedures and steps are consistently followed.
Ensure investigations are properly managed, documented and communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
Provide guidance and challenge where required to ensure investigations are thorough and appropriate.
Ensure actions arising from investigations are followed through and completed.
H&S Documentation & Projects
Take ownership of outstanding H&S documentation and projects already underway.
Ensure required documents are produced, completed and kept on track.
Coordinate and drive others to provide the necessary information and documentation.
Identify what is outstanding and make sure projects that have already been started are finished. Ideal Candidate
Looking for a highly experienced Senior H&S Manager with the gravitas to step into the business and immediately take control.
Energy / Energy from Waste production experience would be highly desirable, although strong candidates from manufacturing or other complex industrial environments will also be considered.
The key is someone who is hands-on, credible and process-driven, particularly around incident investigations and H&S documentation, rather than someone who is purely strategic.
