How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Ready for a fresh start this September?
    As the new academic year begins, Spencer Clarke Group is looking for passionate Maths and English Tutors in Kettering to support children and young people through personalised 1:1 tuition.
    These opportunities are ideal for Teachers and experienced Tutors looking to return from the summer into a rewarding new role supporting pupils outside of mainstream education.

    What You'll Be Doing

    You'll provide tailored Maths and English tuition to pupils who may require additional academic support, intervention or alternative provision.
    Sessions can include:

    GCSE Maths & English
    KS2 & KS3 Maths and English
    Functional Skills
    Literacy and numeracy intervention
    Catch-up tuition
    Confidence and engagement building
    Re-engagement with education

    Where You'll Work

    Tuition takes place in pupils' homes, libraries and community settings, allowing you to build strong relationships and deliver learning in an environment suited to each individual pupil.
    Some learners may have SEN, SEND, EHCPs, SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD, anxiety or school avoidance.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

    Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
