SALARY: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, based on experience
WORKING HOURS:
4 on/4off - 2 days, then 2 nights (7-7)
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plant breakdown response — diagnose and repair machinery faults quickly to minimise downtime.
*
Machinery servicing — carry out planned and reactive maintenance across injection and blow moulding equipment.
*
System changeovers — complete safe and efficient changeovers to support production schedules.
*
Minor engineering projects — assist with upgrades, modifications and small‑scale improvement work.
*
Continuous improvement — identify and implement reliability, efficiency and safety improvements.
*
Injection moulding setter support — provide ongoing support to the Shift Injection Moulding Setter (full on‑the‑job training provided).
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
*
Electrical qualification — minimum ONC or C&G 236 (or equivalent).
*
18th Edition — advantageous but not essential.
*
PLC troubleshooting — including uploads and downloads of programs.
*
Hydraulic troubleshooting — confident diagnosing hydraulic faults.
*
Pneumatic troubleshooting — strong understanding of pneumatic systems.
*
General engineering skills — mechanical and electrical competence.
*
Injection or blow moulding experience — beneficial but not essential.
*
Automation experience — advantageous due to investment in Siemens S7 IPC‑controlled robot palletisation systems.
