Hours: Monday to Thursday (7-4) and Friday (7-12)

Role Overview
Due to growth and a strong order book, they are currently seeking an experienced MIG & TIG Welder / Fabricator to join their skilled workshop team.The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient welding, fabrication, and assembly of various sheet metal components and assemblies from engineering drawings. You will be working with a variety of materials, ensuring all finished products meet stringent quality and dimensional tolerances.
Key Responsibilities

Perform high-standard MIG and TIG welding on various gauges of sheet metal and structural components.

Read, interpret, and work accurately from complex engineering drawings and fabrication blueprints.
*
Fabricate components from scratch, including marking out, cutting, bending, and assembling.
*
Work with various materials (e.g., mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium).
*
Inspect finished welds and products against quality control standards, ensuring minimal rework and optimal finish.
*
Operate workshop machinery (e.g., press brakes, saws, or grinders) as required to support the fabrication process.
*
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace adhering to strict Health & Safety guidelines.
Requirements
*
Proven professional experience as a MIG & TIG Welder / Fabricator (ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing, pressings, or sheet metal environment).
*
Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings independently.
*
Confident working with varied materials and thicknesses.
*
Coding/qualifications (or previous coding experience) would be a distinct advantage, though time-served experience will also be strongly considered.
