How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Manager

    Copello are working with a leading technology and engineering manufacturer who are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team.

    This is an opportunity to manage technically complex engineering programmes, working closely with engineering, manufacturing and commercial teams to deliver products from initial concept through to customer delivery.

    The Role

    As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering multiple projects across the full project lifecycle. You will manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks and resources, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales, cost and quality requirements.

    Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide clear project leadership throughout the delivery process.

    What We're Looking For

    We're looking for an experienced Project Manager with a background delivering complex hardware or technology programmes within sectors such as Defence, Space, Radar, RF, electronic, satcom other highly regulated engineering environments.

    You will have:

    * Experience managing projects across the full product or programme lifecycle (KO, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR)

    * A background delivering complex engineering or hardware-based projects within Defence, Space, RF, Radar or a similar technical environment

    * Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Procurement

    * Strong experience managing project plans, schedules, budgets, risks and delivery milestones

    * Customer-facing experience, including project reviews, reporting and stakeholder management

    * Knowledge of recognised project management methodologies and tools - APMP, PRINCE2

    * A degree in an engineering, manufacturing or science discipline.

    SC eligibility is required.
    Work schedule requires 3 days a week on site in Cambridge.
