How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Immigration Administrative Assistant

    Location: London (EC2) | Type: Full-time, Permanent


    A growing professional services firm is seeking an organised and client-focused Immigration Administrative Assistant to support its busy Immigration team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who is looking to gain exposure to immigration casework within a supportive and fast-paced environment.


    The Role

    You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of client matters, providing a mix of administrative support, client communication, and entry-level casework assistance.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Opening and managing client case files, ensuring accurate record-keeping
    • Drafting standard correspondence, emails, and application forms
    • Managing diaries, appointments, and application deadlines
    • Acting as a first point of contact for client queries
    • Requesting and organising supporting documentation
    • Assisting with preparation of straightforward immigration applications
    • Conducting basic document and eligibility checks
    • Monitoring correspondence and updating internal systems
    • Supporting invoicing processes alongside the accounts team


    About You

    Essential:

    • Strong organisational and administrative skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • High attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
    • Professional, client-focused approach
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems


    Desirable:

    • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment
    • Exposure to immigration or visa applications
    • Familiarity with UK immigration processes
    • Experience using case management systems
    • Additional language skills (e.g. Mandarin, Japanese, Korean)
