How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Role

    We're looking for an experienced legal editorial professional to lead quality strategy for UK and Ireland legislation content. This is a unique opportunity to influence how trusted legal information is created, maintained, and optimized for the next generation of digital and AI-driven products.

    As the UK Legislation Editorial Quality Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring legislative and regulatory content remains accurate, authoritative, and AI-ready. Working closely with editorial, product, and technology teams, you'll define quality standards, drive continuous improvement, and help shape innovative publishing workflows that support our online-first strategy.


    What You'll Be Doing

    • Lead the quality strategy for UK and Ireland legislation content, aligning regional objectives with global standards.
    • Design and implement quality frameworks, governance processes, audits, and controls to ensure content integrity.
    • Use data, customer insights, and audit findings to identify opportunities for improvement and drive measurable outcomes.
    • Partner with Product and Technology teams to advance AI-enabled quality initiatives and modern publishing workflows.
    • Collaborate with international stakeholders to standardize best practices and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Champion a culture of quality through coaching, training, and leadership reporting.


    What We're Looking For

    • Law degree or equivalent qualification.
    • Significant experience within legal publishing, legal content, or legal editorial environments.
    • Proven success designing and implementing quality assurance frameworks and audit processes.
    • Understanding of AI-assisted editorial workflows, digital publishing, and content quality management.
    • Experience working with XML, content management systems, and data-driven decision making.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across global teams.
    • Ability to turn complex data and quality findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
    • A collaborative, adaptable, and continuous-improvement mindset.


    Nice to Have

    • Experience working with legislative or regulatory content across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Exposure to digital transformation or content modernization programs.
    • Experience supporting AI readiness initiatives within a publishing or legal information environment.
