Our client is a well-established hospitality venue located outside Leatherhead, Surrey
They are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to take overall responsibility for the kitchen operation and lead the delivery of exceptional food.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of the kitchen, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while delivering consistently high-quality food. You will be responsible for managing costs, developing menus, leading the kitchen brigade, and ensuring full compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations.
Working closely with other department managers, you will help deliver memorable dining experiences for guests attending the venue's restaurants, functions, and special events.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Manage the daily running of the kitchen and kitchen team.
* Create and develop seasonal menus that reflect current food trends and customer expectations.
* Monitor stock levels, control food ordering, and maintain supplier relationships.
* Minimise wastage and manage food costs to maximise profitability.
* Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
* Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team to achieve operational excellence.
* Maintain full compliance with Food Safety, Hygiene, and Health & Safety legislation.
* Work collaboratively with departmental managers to ensure a seamless guest experience.
* Drive consistency, quality, and brand standards across all food offerings.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will possess:
* Recent/current Head Chef or senior kitchen leadership position within a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
* Recognised Food Safety & Hygiene qualifications.
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations within a commercial kitchen.
* Strong communication and organisational abilities.
* A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality.
* The ability to work effectively with senior management and other departments.

Working Hours
* Full-time position
* 40 to 45 hours per week
* 5 days from 7 on a rota basis
* Evening and weekend work required
Salary is up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, TRONC is paid on top!
