How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are hiring for a Job Position of Assistant Manager Credit into Loan Syndications for an International Bank based in London.

    About the Role

    We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Loan Syndications professional to join our team. The role involves identifying and developing syndicated lending opportunities, assessing credit and financial risks, managing loan assets, and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, banks, and financial institutions.

    The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the loan syndication market, financial analysis, credit assessment, documentation, and portfolio management, along with excellent relationship management and communication skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    Develop a strong understanding of the loan syndication market, key players, products, and market trends.
    Scout the market and generate new business leads in line with business targets.
    Build and maintain effective relationships with banks, financial institutions, corporate clients, and other market participants.
    Gather market intelligence and identify opportunities for participation in syndicated loan transactions.
    Assess business opportunities and evaluate associated financial, credit, and transaction risks.
    Conduct detailed financial and balance sheet analysis and identify relevant risk parameters.
    Prepare and compile comprehensive loan proposals for presentation to the Credit Committee.
    Support transactions involving syndicated loans, project finance, structured finance, and corporate finance.
    Manage the end-to-end documentation process for sanctioned loan facilities.
    Liaise with the Bank's solicitors, clients, agents, and other counterparties through to execution of documentation.
    Ensure the exchange, execution, and safe custody of relevant loan and security documents.
    Coordinate with the Credit Administration team for opening loan accounts and ensuring timely updating of borrower information.
    Monitor assigned loan portfolios and maintain appropriate asset quality and internal controls.
    Maintain continuous liaison with Credit Administration regarding loan operations and account monitoring.
    Identify early warning signals and potential stress in existing loan assets and recommend appropriate resolution strategies.
    Support restructuring, rescheduling, or write-off of accounts in accordance with Bank policies and approved procedures.
    Maintain proper records and diaries for periodic loan reviews, renewals, and monitoring.
    Coordinate internal housekeeping activities and facilitate audits.
    Prepare responses to audit observations, compile compliance remarks, and ensure timely closure of audit reports.
    Prepare and submit periodic reports and regulatory/internal returns as required.
    Conduct client, bank, and financial institution visits at the pre-sanction stage and periodically thereafter to maintain relationships and identify new business opportunities.
    Prepare visit reports/minutes and presentations for review by appropriate authorities.
    Act as the primary relationship point for clients and counterparties, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
    Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and administration of transactions.
    Support the wider Syndications team and handle routine departmental responsibilities when required.
    Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of the Department or Relationship Team.

    Required Skills & Competencies

    Strong understanding of the Loan Syndication market and associated terminology.
    Good knowledge of syndicated lending, corporate finance, project finance, and structured finance.
    Strong financial and balance sheet analysis skills.
    Understanding of credit assessment, risk evaluation, and loan portfolio management.
    Strong relationship management skills with the ability to interact effectively with corporate clients, banks, and financial institutions.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
    Good understanding of loan documentation, security creation, and credit administration processes.
    Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access.
    Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and timely turnaround.
    Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
    Ability to identify potential risks and recommend practical solutions.
    Strong teamwork and stakeholder-management skills.

    Preferred Profile

    Candidates with experience in Loan Syndication, Corporate Banking, Credit, Project Finance, Structured Finance, or Corporate Finance will be preferred. Experience working with banks, financial institutions, or corporate lending teams would be an advantage
