How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    HR Business Partner

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join a leading organisation as an HR Business Partner on a fixed-term contract until June 2029.

    This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with senior leaders and managers, providing expert HR advice and strategic people support across a broad range of areas, including employee relations, organisational change, workforce planning, talent development and HR projects.

    The Opportunity

    You will act as a trusted HR partner, working closely with senior stakeholders to understand organisational priorities and deliver effective people solutions that support business objectives.

    The role will involve providing expert advice on complex employee relations matters, organisational change, performance management and employment legislation, while supporting managers to build strong and effective teams.

    You will also contribute to strategic HR initiatives, workforce planning and continuous improvement projects, using your expertise to influence decision-making and strengthen HR capability across the organisation.

    * Salary: £41,671 £56,535 per annum

    Requirements

    * Substantial experience working as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor within a complex organisation

    * Strong generalist HR experience, including employee relations, organisational change, performance management and employment legislation

    * Proven experience providing credible and commercially focused HR advice to senior leaders and managers

    * Experience supporting organisational change, restructuring and consultation processes

    * Strong understanding of UK employment legislation and its practical application within the workplace

    * Experience developing and delivering HR initiatives and projects aligned with organisational objectives

    * Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge senior managers where appropriate

    * Excellent coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to support managers in developing their people management capability

    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret people data and use insight to inform decision-making

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex HR matters clearly and effectively

    Desirable

    * Experience working within the NHS or education sector

    * CIPD qualification or equivalent HR professional qualification

    * Experience working within a complex, highly regulated or public sector environment

    * Experience of workforce planning, talent management and organisational development

    * Experience leading or contributing to wider HR transformation and continuous improvement initiatives

    * Experience coaching and mentoring HR colleagues or supporting the development of wider HR capability
