How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Piping Hydrotest Supervisor
    Location: Hinkley Point C - Site Based
    Reporting to: Piping Lead
    Role Overview
    The Piping Hydrotest Supervisor will be responsible for supervising subcontractor personnel and coordinating all site activities relating to pressure testing. The role will ensure works are completed safely, on schedule and to the required technical and quality standards.
    Key Responsibilities

    Supervise subcontractor personnel and ensure works are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
    Ensure pressure test procedures are correctly implemented and followed on site.
    Coordinate and oversee the preparation and completion of pressure test packages.
    Ensure systems are correctly lined up in accordance with P&IDs and pressure test procedures.
    Verify preparation of valves, blinds, supports, vents, drains, filling points, pumps, gauges and water supplies prior to testing.
    Ensure test instruments and gauges have valid calibration certificates.
    Conduct visual inspections before and during pressure testing and identify any leaks or deficiencies.
    Coordinate pressure test witnessing and ensure relevant documentation and reports are completed and signed.
    Ensure temporary equipment, blinds, plugs and supports are removed following completion of testing.
    Monitor subcontractor performance and verify completed works.
    Identify and coordinate the materials, tools and equipment required for the discipline.
    Coordinate inspections and mandatory/conformity testing.
    Participate in walkdowns and ensure outstanding punch-list items are resolved and closed out.
    Maintain as-built documentation and ensure quality records are correctly completed and compiled.
    Liaise with engineering and site management to resolve technical issues.
    Monitor and report non-conformances, discrepancies and deviations.
    Support commissioning and turnover activities.
    Ensure quality and EHS requirements are implemented throughout the works.
    Deliver toolbox talks and communicate relevant hazards, risks and control measures to the workforce.
    Ensure appropriate inspection and test plans are followed by subcontractors.
    Support incident prevention, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
    Prepare regular reports covering progress, completed activities, forecasts, subcontractor performance, EHS, quality, manpower and issues.
    Provide return-of-experience feedback on applicable standards and significant site deviations.
    Have the authority to stop work where activities are unsafe or non-compliant.Requirements
    Essential:

    Technical diploma, certificate or equivalent qualification.
    Experience in site construction execution and supervision of subcontractors.
    Experience managing prefabrication subcontractors.
    General knowledge of power plant systems.
    Strong knowledge and experience within the piping discipline.
    Fluent written and spoken English.Desirable:

    Previous experience within power plant construction and engineering.
    Experience working within multicultural teams.
    Additional language skills.
    Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
    Ability to take responsibility and make decisions in a time-critical site environment.The role requires someone who is proactive, safety-focused, detail-oriented and confident managing subcontractors, with the ability to coordinate pressure testing activities through to completion and handover.
