How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    MULTISKILLED BODYSHOP TECHNICIAN - PANEL & MET

    Location: Anerley, Greater London
    Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE (Basic Salary £35,000 - £65,000 DOE)
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    THE ROLE
    As a Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician - Panel & MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim), you'll work across vehicle body repair and Mechanical, Electrical & Trim operations, helping to complete accident repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

    Key responsibilities include:
    ·Carrying out Panel Beating and body repair work, including repairing, replacing, and refitting damaged panels.
    ·Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components as part of the repair process.
    ·Carrying out vehicle strip-downs and reassembly before and after structural and body repairs.
    ·Assessing vehicle damage and identifying appropriate Panel and MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) repair requirements.
    ·Working closely with Paint Technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors, and other workshop colleagues.
    ·Carrying out functional and quality checks to ensure completed repairs meet required standards.
    ·Managing allocated repairs effectively while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
    ·Maintaining tools, equipment, and the workshop area in a clean, safe, and professional condition.

    ABOUT YOU
    This opportunity would suit an experienced Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician / Panel Beater / Panel Technician / MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician / Strip & Fit Technician who is confident working across Panel and MET.

    You'll ideally have:
    ·Previous experience within a professional Bodyshop or accident repair environment.
    ·Hold a recognised qualification or accreditation (NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds / ATA or equivalent).
    ·Strong practical experience across Panel Beating and MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim).
    ·Good knowledge of modern vehicle body repair, mechanical, electrical, and trim systems.
    ·Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
    ·The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a skilled workshop team.
    ·Strong organisation and time management skills.
    ·A full UK driving licence.
