How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Data & Reporting Analyst

    12-Month Fixed-Term Contract l Up to £45,000 based on experience

As part of an ambitious and collaborative team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping performance reporting, improving data quality, and providing valuable insight that directly influences business outcomes.

    This is a home-based role, but you will need to be happy to commute to office in Birmingham city Centre when needed

    The Opportunity

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Data & Reporting Analyst to take ownership of reporting, analytics, and performance management within a critical operational function.

    Working closely with senior stakeholders and operational teams, you'll analyse complex datasets, create impactful dashboards, and provide actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision making. You'll be instrumental in ensuring data integrity, identifying performance trends, and helping the business uncover opportunities for improvement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead the development and delivery of performance reporting and management information.
    Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    Design and maintain insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel.
    Develop performance measures and KPIs that support organisational objectives.
    Ensure robust data quality standards, validation processes, and governance practices.
    Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting requirements and deliver meaningful insights.
    Investigate data anomalies, challenge assumptions, and provide recommendations based on evidence.
    Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and business performance monitoring.About you:

    I'm looking to speak with analytical professionals who combine strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

    You'll ideally have:

    Proven experience within a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, MI Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role.
    Experience designing and improving reporting frameworks, processes, and performance measures.
    Strong capability in gathering, managing, analysing, and interpreting complex data from multiple sources.
    Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query.
    Good working knowledge of Power BI and dashboard development.
    A natural curiosity and passion for uncovering insights through data.
    Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
    Confidence to challenge data quality issues and investigate inconsistencies.
    The ability to communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
    HND, Degree, Level 5 qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.Why Apply?
