How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Multi-Skilled CNC Service Engineer

    Location:South West, UK based (Possible Nationwide Travel)
    Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 Basic + OT

    The Company
    A well-established CNC machine tool service provider is looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled CNC Service Engineer to support customers across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business.

    The Role
    As a CNC Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding and repairing a wide range of CNC machine tools at customer sites. You will work on both mechanical and electrical issues, supporting customers with breakdowns, preventative maintenance, machine alignments and installations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Service, maintain and repair CNC machine tools.
    Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
    Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
    Ball bar testing and analysis.
    Ball screw inspection, replacement and alignment.
    Turret alignment and machine accuracy adjustments.
    Gearbox repairs and replacements.
    Hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding and repairs.
    Candidate Requirements

    Previous experience as a CNC Service Engineer
    Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
    Experience working on CNC machine tools including: DMG Mori, Mazak, Hurco, Haas
    CNC control systems including:Fanuc/Siemens/Heidenhain
    Ability to work independently at customer sites.
