How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed has come to the forefront for a strong Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, fast-paced manufacturing site in Park Royal. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys being hands-on, organised, and proactive—supporting production by ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and keeping planned maintenance on track.

You will be responsible for planned maintenance activity with some reactive support as required, working closely with production to prioritise work and maintain safe, efficient operations.

Experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment
Engineering qualification (minimum City & Guilds or equivalent)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting supporting production output
Ability to cover weekends as part of a 5-days-out-of-7 pattern

    Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and completing maintenance schedules
Supporting reactive maintenance / breakdown response when required
Fault-finding and repair on a range of industrial machinery and production equipment
Working safely at all times, following permit-to-work / site procedures
Strong communication skills to liaise with production teams and prioritise tasks
Supporting continuous improvement where possible (reliability, downtime reduction, housekeeping)

The Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:

Employment with a stable and well-established organisation
    Government pension
20 days holiday + bank holidays
Supportive leadership and long-term development opportunities
Future shift change planned as the business expands (moving to earlies 6am–2pm when the new site becomes operational – discussed at interview)
