Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a caring, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the PR5 area, starting in September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to provide 1:1 support to a child with SEN who is starting school, helping them settle into their new environment and supporting their learning, development and well-being.
The Role
Position: EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: PR5
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time
Days: Monday - Friday
Setting: Primary school
Focus: Supporting a child with SEN starting schoolYou will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team to provide consistent, nurturing support throughout the school day. A key part of the role will be helping the child settle into school life, develop positive routines and access learning alongside their peers.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working with children with SEN/additional needs
Ideally has experience within an EYFS or primary school setting
Is patient, calm, nurturing and consistent
Can build a strong, trusting relationship with a young child
Understands the importance of supporting a child's transition into school
Is confident supporting communication, social, emotional and learning needs
Can work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider team
Is passionate about helping children develop their confidence and independencePrevious experience supporting children with SEN would be highly desirable, but most importantly, we are looking for someone who is compassionate, resilient and committed to making a positive difference.

£92.56 - £93.56 per day
