How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Trainee Production Operative

    Essex | Up to £38,000 DOE | 3-Week Rotating Shift Pattern

    Do you have a Chemistry degree and want to build a career in manufacturing? This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist production environment where you'll receive full training and develop a long-term career in chemical and process manufacturing.

    Working as part of the production team, you'll support blending operations, product transfers and site activities while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.

    What You'll Be Doing

    * Supporting blending and production operations

    * Tanker loading, unloading and product transfers

    * Material handling and stock rotation

    * Maintaining housekeeping and safety standards

    * Reporting equipment issues and production progress

    * Supporting continuous improvement initiatives

    What We're Looking For

    * Chemistry degree preferred

    * Positive, reliable and hands-on approach

    * Strong attention to detail

    * Practical or mechanical aptitude

    * Good IT, literacy and numeracy skills

    * Eagerness to learn and develop

    * Ability to work effectively within a team

    Shift Pattern

    This role operates on a 3-week rolling rota:

    * Week 1: 5:00am to 1:30pm

    * Week 2: 1:00pm to 9:30pm

    * Week 3: 9:00pm to 5:30am
