How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Repair Technicians

    Havant

    Temporary or Permanent

    Are you an experienced Repair Technician with strong fault-finding skills and an interest in repairing electronic products?

    Workshop Recruitment is supporting a well-established organisation with the recruitment of a

    Repair Technician to join its production operations team in Havant.

    This Repair Technician role offers the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team, diagnosing faults, completing repairs and supporting the efficient flow of products through the operation.

    Hours

    8am – 4pm Monday - Friday

    Key Responsibilities

    Diagnose faults and malfunctions using appropriate tools and procedures.
    Complete maintenance repairs and component replacements to include soldering.
    Clean and inspect products, identifying any pre-existing damage.
    Record repair and operational information accurately on internal systems.
    Maintain accuracy and compliance to the Inbound and Outbound procedures for receipt and dispatch of commodities.
    Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
    Communicate repair progress and issues to the Team Leader.
    Skills & Knowledge Required

    3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.
    Experience repairing products or a strong personal interest in electronic repair.
    Understanding of fault-finding and basic diagnostic processes.
    Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
    Clear and effective communication skills.
    Ability to use small hand tools safely and accurately.
    Basic computer skills and confidence using internal systems.
    Basic soldering experience is desirable.
    The successful Repair Technician will be detail-focused, committed to following procedures and motivated to achieve high-quality repair outcomes. You will also be willing to learn, develop your skills and support wider team success
