About the role
We are looking for an experienced Solar Panel Roofer to install solar panels on residential roofs across Bromley and the surrounding area.
You will be paired with a qualified electrician who will complete all electrical work. Your responsibility will be limited to the roofing and physical installation aspects of each solar PV system.
Work will primarily be based around Bromley. Some travel further afield may be required when local projects are awaiting surveys or when workloads in the Bromley area are quieter.

The Solar Panel Roofer will help ensure each system is installed securely, accurately and with proper care for the existing roof. This is a hands-on contract opportunity offering a clear division between roofing and electrical responsibilities.
What you’ll do
* Install solar panel mounting systems and panels on residential roofs.
* Complete the roofing elements of each installation safely and accurately.
* Work from site plans and installation specifications.
* Protect the roof covering and maintain a weatherproof finish.
* Work alongside the electrician responsible for all electrical connections.
* Identify and report any roofing or site issues that could affect the installation.
* Follow site-specific health and safety requirements.
* Travel to projects outside Bromley when required.
What we’re looking for
To succeed as a Solar Panel Roofer, you will need:
* Proven roofing experience.
* Confidence working safely at height.
* Experience working on residential pitched roofs.
* The practical ability to complete accurate, secure roof installations.
* A reliable and professional approach to contract work.
* Willingness to travel beyond Bromley when project demand requires it.
Preferred qualifications
* Previous solar PV panel or mounting-system installation experience.
* Relevant working-at-height or construction-site certification.
* A valid CSCS card.
* A full UK driving licence and access to suitable transport.
Team and collaboration
The Solar Panel Roofer will work alongside an electrician, who will take full responsibility for the electrical aspects of each installation. Good communication will be important to keep installations safe, coordinated and on schedule.
Location and travel
This Solar Panel Roofer role is primarily based around Bromley. Contractors must be prepared to travel further afield when Bromley projects are awaiting surveys or when local work is temporarily quiet
