How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    COMPEX Electricians – Isle of Grain, Kent

    £40.00–£48.00 per hour
    Potential weekend overtime
    Accommodation or lodge allowance potentially available

    MEP Technical Talent is building a team of experienced COMPEX electricians for upcoming industrial and hazardous-area projects on the Isle of Grain and around the Kent and Thames Estuary area.

    We are interested in both local electricians and experienced contractors willing to work away from home.

    Depending on the individual assignment, packages may include:

    *

    Basic rates between £40.00 and £48.00 per hour

    *

    Enhanced rates for Saturday and Sunday working

    *

    Additional overtime during the week

    *

    Accommodation, lodge or subsistence allowance

    *

    Long working weeks or rotational patterns

    *

    Ongoing or follow-on work

    Potential duties may include:

    *

    Industrial and hazardous-area electrical installation

    *

    SWA cable glanding and termination

    *

    Containment and cabling

    *

    Instrumentation and control wiring

    *

    Inspection, testing and remedial work

    *

    Maintenance and fault-finding

    *

    Working to site drawings, permits and safety procedures

    Applicants should ideally hold:

    *

    Current COMPEX EX01–EX04 certification

    *

    ECS/JIB Gold Card

    *

    18th Edition

    *

    Recognised electrical apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification

    *

    Industrial, petrochemical, energy, utilities or process-sector experience

    *

    2391 or 2394/2395 for inspection assignments
