How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role


    This opportunity sits within the firm’s market-leading Tax practice, which provides the full range of advisory and transactional tax services for complex corporate and fund-related matters. The team works on some of the most high-value and technical deals in the market and operates across multiple sectors including private equity, real estate, infrastructure, investment funds, energy and financial services.


    Typical mandates include:

    • Advising on the tax aspects of M&A, corporate restructurings and leveraged buyouts
    • Structuring private equity, real estate and infrastructure platforms, including fund tax matters
    • Advising on domestic and cross-border capital markets transactions and financing deals
    • Designing tax-efficient structures for joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and multi-jurisdictional carve-outs
    • Advising on corporate and partnership tax planning, debt restructuring and incentive arrangements
    • Working alongside the firm’s disputes team on tax controversy, enquiries and risk management strategies


    Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and negotiating tax elements of transaction documents, providing opinions and advisory memos, managing cross-border structuring with overseas teams, and liaising with clients on strategic planning and implementation of tax-driven solutions. Associates will handle significant responsibility from the outset while receiving guidance from partners recognised among the leading practitioners in the sector.

    What They’re Looking For


    • England & Wales qualified solicitor with 2–7 years’ PQE
    • Extensive experience in corporate tax advisory and transactional work
    • A strong understanding of UK tax principles, with exposure to international tax advantageous
    • Experience advising on private equity transactions, M&A, capital markets or fund structuring highly desirable
    • Excellent technical and drafting skills combined with commercial judgement
    • Ability to manage complex workstreams and communicate effectively in a client-facing environment
    • Team player with ambition, resilience and a commitment to professional growth within an elite practice
