How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Our client is a rapidly expanding pan-European energy transition infrastructure company seeking a Legal Counsel to join its growing legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and gain exposure to a diverse range of legal, commercial and strategic matters in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

    The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting the business across multiple jurisdictions and group entities. This is a broad in-house position offering exposure to corporate transactions, commercial contracts, governance matters and strategic business initiatives.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, financing and investment activities
    • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements
    • Advising on company law, corporate governance and company secretarial matters
    • Assisting with group structuring projects and entity management across multiple jurisdictions
    • Supporting lender requirements, approvals and consent processes
    • Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to stakeholders across the business
    • Working closely with the General Counsel to deliver seamless legal support across the organisation

    About You

We are keen to hear from lawyers who are intellectually curious, commercially aware and eager to broaden their experience in a fast-paced in-house environment.

    You will likely have:

    • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales with around 4 years' PQE
    • Training at a recognised law firm, with experience in corporate, banking, finance, M&A or a related transactional practice area
    • Previous in-house experience is welcomed but is not essential.

    • Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
    • A solid understanding of company law and corporate governance principles
    • A pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to legal issues
    • The confidence to work independently, take ownership of matters and support a wide range of legal work
    • A desire to work closely with the business and develop broad commercial in-house experience

    Why Apply?

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth business at the forefront of the energy transition. You'll work directly with senior leadership, gain exposure to significant strategic projects and develop a genuinely broad in-house skillset while contributing to a business making a tangible impact on the future of sustainable transport and infrastructure.

If you're looking for a role that combines transactional work, commercial exposure and real business partnership, we'd love to hear from you.
