How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Junior HR Administrator


    Purpose of the Role

    The Junior HR Administrator will provide accurate, organised and confidential administrative support to the HR function across KDC Group Services Ltd and the wider KDC Group. This is a junior role designed to develop practical HR knowledge, professional judgement and confidence across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment administration, onboarding, employee data, HR documentation and general HR support.


    Key Responsibilities:


    HR Administration and Employee Records

    • Maintain accurate employee records and HR files, ensuring information is stored securely and updated promptly.
    • Prepare and issue routine HR documentation, including letters, forms and employee lifecycle paperwork.
    • Support the HR team with data entry, document control and record keeping in line with company procedures and data protection requirements.
    • Assist with general HR inbox management, responding to straightforward queries and escalating more complex matters appropriately.


    Recruitment and Onboarding Support

    • Support recruitment administration by preparing documentation, maintaining candidate records and coordinating routine process updates.
    • Assist with pre-employment checks, right to work documentation, references and onboarding paperwork.
    • Prepare new starter information and coordinate induction arrangements with HR, IT, line managers and relevant business support teams.
    • Help ensure new starters receive the relevant company policies, forms and induction materials in a timely and professional manner.


    Confidentiality, Compliance and Good Practice

    • Handle employee and candidate information with discretion, confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
    • Follow company policies, procedures and HR processes, escalating any concerns or inconsistencies to the HR Director or nominated HR lead.
    • Support HR administration connected with security, induction, employee changes and leavers where required.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to make HR administration more efficient, accurate and user-friendly.


    Office Administration and Support

    • Provide general office administration support, including handling incoming post, scanning, filing and maintaining organised office records.
    • Support the coordination of office supplies, stationery and equipment, raising requirements to the appropriate person when items need replenishing or attention.
    • Assist with welcoming visitors and supporting a professional front-of-house experience when required.
    • Help maintain tidy, well-organised shared office areas and support day-to-day office processes that contribute to a professional working environment.


    Skills, Knowledge and Experience:


    Essential

    • Degree-level education or equivalent practical experience, ideally with an interest in Human Resources, business, psychology, law or a related discipline.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, well-presented work.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, candidates and managers.
    • Confident and professional when using the telephone to speak with colleagues, candidates, visitors and external contacts.
    • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond positively when priorities change.
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
    • Positive, can-do attitude, with a proactive approach, willingness to learn and ability to respond constructively to feedback.
    • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
    • UK citizenship and eligibility for security clearance, where required.


    Desirable

    • Previous experience in office administration, customer service, HR or a related role.
    • Interest in pursuing a relevant HR qualification, such as CIPD Level 3 or Level 5.
