About the Role
We're looking for experienced aircraft mechanics to join our maintenance team in Bournemouth. This is a hands-on position responsible for carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and installations across a variety of aircraft, primarily turboprops. This role will support maintenance programs, inspections, aircraft upgrades, and system installations while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with UK, US, and EU regulations, approved maintenance data, and Blackhawk Performance Center standards.
Essential Functions
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance manuals, company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Complete inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacements on aircraft and engines.
- Diagnose mechanical defects and determine effective corrective actions.
- Carry out engine removals, installations, adjustments, and routine servicing as required.
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately and thoroughly.
- Interpret maintenance manuals, technical publications, service bulletins, and engineering data.
- Identify defects, recommend corrective actions, and communicate findings with the maintenance team.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with UK CAA regulations, company procedures, and applicable safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment to support efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Use, control, and care for tools, equipment, and parts in accordance with calibration and tool control programs.
- Support hangar operations and other maintenance activities as business needs require.
- Aircraft maneuvering and position inside and outside of hangars, receiving and dispatching aircraft.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all work performed.
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively with peers, leads, and other departments to build a safe, high-performing, and customer-focused maintenance organization.
Qualifications
Required
- Previous hands-on maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Experience performing scheduled inspections and defect rectification.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Preferred
- Experience working on aircraft, particularly high-performance aircraft.
- Experience with engine troubleshooting and powerplant maintenance.
- Inspection authorization or additional manufacturer training.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
