How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Corporate Lawyer (PSL), 5+ PQE, Leeds - Use Your Corporate Expertise to Shape the Future of a Leading National Practice

Excellent Salary (DOE) | Hybrid Working | Excellent Benefits | Career Development

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Lawyer to join the Knowledge team of a highly regarded Top 50 UK law firm in Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced corporate lawyer looking to move into a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) role, using their technical expertise to support an established and successful national Corporate team. You'll play a key role in developing knowledge, training and best practice across the practice, while working alongside highly experienced corporate specialists.

    The Role

As Corporate PSL, you'll support the continued development and success of the firm's national Corporate practice, using your experience and technical knowledge to improve the way the team delivers legal services.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting the Corporate team with technical and legal knowledge.
    • Monitoring and advising on legislative and regulatory developments.
    • Developing and delivering training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
    • Creating, maintaining and sharing best practice resources and precedents.
    • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across the Corporate practice.
    • Supporting lawyers with technical queries and providing practical guidance.
    • Working closely with colleagues nationally to ensure knowledge and best practice are shared effectively.
    • Contributing to innovation, technology and the continued development of legal service delivery.
    • Helping to strengthen the firm's reputation and profile within the corporate market.

    The Candidate

Applications are welcomed from experienced Corporate Lawyers who can demonstrate:

    • A minimum of 5 years' PQE.
    • A strong technical background in Corporate Law gained within a commercial law firm.
    • Significant experience across corporate transactions, ideally including M&A, private equity, IPOs and/or corporate restructuring.
    • Excellent technical and research skills with the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly.
    • A genuine interest in knowledge management, training and professional development.
    • A proactive and innovative approach, with an enthusiasm for technology and improving legal service delivery.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with lawyers at all levels.
    • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across a national team.

    The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Corporate Solicitor looking to utilise their technical expertise in a role that offers variety, influence and genuine scope to make a difference.

You'll join an award-winning national firm with a highly regarded Corporate practice, working alongside talented lawyers across the firm's network. The role offers the opportunity to move away from the traditional fee-earning model while remaining closely connected to high-quality corporate work and playing a key role in developing the firm's people and practice.

In return, the firm offers an excellent salary (DOE) and comprehensive benefits package, including performance-related bonus, generous pension contributions, five weeks' annual leave, enhanced maternity and paternity leave and pay, income protection, life assurance and an employee assistance programme.

To apply contact Melanie Daly at eNL on 0113 320 0575 or email melanie.daly@enllegal.co.uk with your CV, or simply call for a confidential discussion.
