This is a full-time office based role, supporting the Group Financial Controller by consolidating and analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing strategic information and advice.
ROLE:
* Preparing monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, budgets, profit and cashflow forecasts, site cost analysis reports, and providing recommendations for cost efficiencies.
* Review and reconcile nominal ledger (N/L) and control accounts regularly.
* Collaborate with the Accounts Payable Supervisor to ensure N/L, P/L, and supplier/subcontractor payments are current.
* Assist with supplier queries and supplier account reconciliations.
* Reconciliations for all GL accounts and investigating any differences.
* Prepare reports for management and joint venture partners (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statements).
* Prepare statutory accounts for all group operating companies.
* Prepare corporation tax computations and liaise with auditors and external tax accountants.
* Prepare annual group overhead budgets and analyse variances as part of Management Accounts preparation.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Professional accounting or auditing role and experience in a management accounting position.
* Well organised and flexible.
* Experience of overseeing a company’s financial control and reporting activities.
* A recognised professional qualification from a professional institution, such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), is preferred.
* Strong analytical skills along with knowledge of general ledger, budgeting, forecasting, accounting standards and compliance regulations are essential.
* Computer literate and confident with Excel and experience of COINS would be preferred.
