How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Manager

    Location: East Midlands (Multi-Region Coverage) Rate: Competitive (CIS Available) Sector: Highways / Infrastructure Contract Type: Contract

    The Opportunity

    We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of highways and infrastructure projects across multiple locations within the East Midlands.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an established Project Manager or an ambitious Senior Agent looking to take the next step into a Project Management position. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading project delivery from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage multiple projects across the East Midlands region.
    Lead project teams to ensure successful delivery of highways and infrastructure schemes.
    Maintain programme performance, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are achieved.
    Manage client relationships and act as the key point of contact for stakeholders.
    Oversee planning, programming, risk management, and project reporting activities.
    Ensure compliance with National Highways standards and requirements.
    Administer and manage contracts under NEC forms of contract.
    Monitor project costs, forecasts, and commercial performance.
    Drive a strong health, safety, environmental, and quality culture across all sites.
    Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal delivery teams.
    Produce regular progress reports and attend client and project meetings.

    Requirements

    Essential

    Previous experience working on National Highways projects.
    Strong understanding and practical experience with NEC contracts.
    Experience in project planning and programming.
    Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
    Strong leadership and communication skills.
    Full UK Driving Licence.

    Desirable

    3+ years' experience in a Project Management position.
    Civil Engineering or Infrastructure project delivery background.
    Relevant industry qualifications.
    Previous experience as a Senior Agent looking to progress into Project Management.
