How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description

Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all production equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently to support vehicle manufacturing. This includes carrying out planned maintenance activities, inspecting machinery, and identifying potential issues before they lead to equipment failures or production downtime.

The technician responds to equipment breakdowns by diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems. They work quickly to restore production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

A key part of the role involves fault finding and root cause analysis. Maintenance technicians use technical drawings, diagnostic tools, and control system information to identify the underlying causes of recurring issues and implement permanent corrective actions to improve reliability.

Maintenance Technicians also support continuous improvement activities by identifying opportunities to reduce downtime, improve equipment performance, and increase overall production efficiency. They work closely with production teams, engineers, and contractors to implement improvements and support new equipment installations.

Safety is a critical responsibility within the role. Technicians must follow all health and safety procedures, including lockout/tagout processes, risk assessments, and safe systems of work, ensuring equipment remains compliant with company and legal standards.

Accurate documentation is essential, with technicians required to record maintenance activities, update fault logs, complete shift handovers, and maintain asset histories within maintenance management systems such as SAP. Effective communication and teamwork are vital to ensuring production targets and operational objectives are achieved.

    Skills / Experience

Technical Skills: Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities are essential, along with knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment, robotics, welding systems, conveyors, pneumatics, and hydraulics. The ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals is also critical.

Problem-Solving Skills: Technicians must be able to diagnose equipment faults quickly, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to prevent repeat failures. A structured approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement is key to maintaining equipment reliability.

Safety Awareness: A thorough understanding of health and safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), risk assessments, and safe working practices, is essential to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with company standards.

Communication and Teamwork: Effective communication is required when working with production operators, engineers, contractors, and fellow maintenance technicians. Clear shift handovers, maintenance reporting, and collaboration are vital to maintaining production performance.

Planning and Organisation: The ability to prioritise tasks, manage workloads, and complete preventive maintenance activities on time helps minimise downtime and ensures maintenance targets are achieved.

Continuous Improvement Mindset: Successful technicians actively seek opportunities to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, increase reliability, and support operational excellence initiatives such as TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and OEE improvement programs.

Computer and System Skills: Competence in using maintenance management systems such as SAP
