The successful candidate will assist with a varied caseload covering freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity. The role combines legal and administrative support, client communication, file management and post-completion work.
This would suit a proactive paralegal with previous residential conveyancing experience who is confident managing competing priorities and providing high-quality support in a busy, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Partner with a varied residential conveyancing caseload.
Assisting with freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
Opening, maintaining and closing client files.
Liaising with clients, estate agents, solicitors and lenders.
Preparing and assisting with contracts, leases and completion statements.
Assisting with Land Registry applications and title searches.
Supporting post-completion matters.
Managing electronic and physical filing in line with firm procedures.
Arranging appointments, meetings and diary commitments.
Dealing with client enquiries by telephone, email and in person.
Assisting with general case administration and preparation of legal documents.
Audio and copy typing using digital dictation where required.
Ensuring files and case management systems are kept accurate and up to date.
About You
Previous experience working within a law firm is essential.
Strong residential conveyancing experience.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good client care and interpersonal skills.
Experience using legal case management systems.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Strong typing and document management skills.
Good level of numeracy and attention to detail.
Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
Proactive, self-motivated and willing to take ownership of tasks.
