How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    £50,000-£75,000 + Package
We're working with a leading civil engineering and utilities contractor who are looking to strengthen their project team with an experienced QHSE Manager / Advisor to support the delivery of a major water infrastructure project at Sizewell.
This is a site-based role supporting the delivery of clean and dirty water works on a high-profile infrastructure project, with responsibility for maintaining high standards across Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental performance.
The role can suit either an experienced QHSE Advisor looking to step up or an established QHSE Manager with experience working on major infrastructure projects.

You'll be working on a major water infrastructure project at Sizewell, supporting the delivery of clean and dirty water works as part of the wider development.
This is a high-profile project with a strong focus on quality, health & safety and environmental performance, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced QHSE professional looking to work on a major infrastructure scheme.
You'll provide hands-on QHSE support across the project, working closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager and wider site team.
    Your responsibilities will include:

Providing day-to-day QHSE advice and support to the project and site teams
Monitoring compliance with company, client and legislative requirements
Carrying out regular QHSE inspections, audits and site tours
Supporting the preparation, review and implementation of RAMS, ITPs, CPPs and QHSE documentation
Identifying risks and ensuring appropriate control measures are implemented
Managing and investigating incidents, near misses and non-conformances
Supporting corrective and preventative actions through to completion
Monitoring quality standards and ensuring works are delivered to specification
Supporting quality inspections, test plans and project documentation
Delivering toolbox talks, inductions and QHSE briefings
Promoting a positive QHSE culture across the project
Working with construction teams to identify opportunities for improvement
Liaising with the client, supply chain and other project stakeholders
Supporting internal and client-led audits and assurance activities
Maintaining accurate QHSE records, reports and performance data
    Supporting environmental and sustainability requirements
Providing guidance, coaching and mentoring to site personnel
Challenging poor standards and driving continuous improvement

    About You

We're looking for an experienced QHSE Advisor, QHSE Manager, SHEQ Advisor, SHEQ Manager or Health & Safety professional with a background in civil engineering, construction, utilities or water.
    You will ideally have:

    NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
Relevant QHSE/SHEQ experience within civil engineering, construction, utilities or water
Experience working on major infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
Good understanding of Quality Management Systems
Experience with RAMS, ITPs, audits, inspections and incident investigation
Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
    Excellent communication and influencing skills
    A hands-on approach to site-based QHSE management
The confidence to challenge and influence project teams
Experience within the water sector would be advantageous, particularly clean water, dirty water, utilities or infrastructure projects.
Previous experience working within a nuclear, power or other highly regulated environment would be a strong advantage.
