We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically skilled engineer looking to join a stable operation with a strong focus on reliability, continuous improvement and preventative maintenance.
Working on a double days shift pattern, you will be responsible for keeping production equipment running efficiently, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, and minimising downtime across the site.
The Role
Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
Diagnose and fault-find electrical and control system issues.
Repair and maintain production machinery and associated equipment.
Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
Work with motors, drives, sensors, control panels and electrical systems.
Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
The Ideal Candidate
Electrically qualified or time-served, ideally with an NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / equivalent.
Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience with PLCs, drives, motors and industrial control systems would be advantageous.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
