Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant Required - Lambeth We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tulse Hill, Lambeth from September 2026.
This rewarding role will involve providing 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with Autism, helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and thrive within the classroom environment.

The Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with Autism.
Support the child's academic, social, and emotional development.
Implement strategies recommended by the SENCO and external professionals.
Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning activities when required.
Encourage engagement, communication, and independence.
Monitor progress and contribute to ongoing support plans.
Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism.
Is patient, caring, and resilient.
Has strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Can remain calm and adaptable in different situations.
Is committed to helping children achieve their individual goals.
