How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £40,000 (85k OTE)

    The Role

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Adviser who combines strong technical knowledge with a commercial mindset. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing client relationships, delivering tailored financial planning advice and identifying opportunities to grow their client bank.

    The role offers flexibility, autonomy and significant earning potential through both employed and self-employed remuneration structures.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Providing holistic financial planning advice to new and existing clients
    Building and maintaining long-term client relationships through regular reviews and ongoing support
    Delivering advice across pensions, investments, protection, retirement and estate planning
    Conducting client meetings and presenting suitable recommendations in a clear and engaging manner
    Identifying new business opportunities through referrals, networking and professional connections
    Working closely with paraplanners and administrators to ensure a seamless client experience
    Reviewing clients' financial circumstances and developing tailored planning strategies
    Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring all advice complies with FCA requirements
    Contributing to the growth and success of the business through a proactive and results-driven approach
    Staying up to date with changes in legislation, taxation and the wider financial planning landscapeRequirements

    Previous experience as a Financial Adviser within an Independent Financial Advice or Financial Planning business
    Previous Paraplanning experience with strong technical knowledge across financial planning disciplines
    Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (minimum)
    Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
    Strong understanding of pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning
    Ability to manage client relationships independently and professionally
    Commercial awareness and a proven ability to generate business opportunities
    Strong communication, presentation and report-writing skills
    Good understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirementsPersonal Attributes
