How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An opportunity has arisen for a DevOps Engineer to join an innovative technology organisation delivering complex software solutions for customers across a specialist technical environment.

    As a DevOps Engineer, you will support cloud and on-premises infrastructure, deployment processes and automation solutions across the organisation. This full-time role offers salary £60,000 and benefits.

    Note: Valid DV clearance is essential for this role.

    You will be responsible for:

    Building, managing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
    Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code solutions.
    Managing and optimising Linux-based infrastructure and cloud environments.
    Implementing monitoring, logging, alerting and observability solutions.
    Automating deployment and operational activities.
    Supporting containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
    Working with development teams to improve software release processes.
    Maintaining security throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
    Investigating and resolving infrastructure and deployment issues.
    Creating and maintaining operational documentation.

    What we are looking for:

    Previously worked as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
    Valid DV clearance.
    Approx 3+ yeras commercial experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 
    Experience AWS, Azure or Google Cloud and working with Docker and Kubernetes.
    Strong background working with CI/CD platforms and in Linux administration.
    Familiarity in using Terraform, Ansible or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
    Good understanding of networking and security principles.
    Strong knowledge of Git.
