How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Production Operative (Electrical)

    Location: Norwich, Norfolk

    We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our Production team. This role plays an important part in ensuring our products are assembled efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver products in line with specifications, production schedules, and customer expectations.

    What you'll be doing:

    * Follow all relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and Company policies.

    * Understand and comply with the Company Business Management System, Quality Manual, procedures, and standards relating to production activities.

    * Carry out mechanical assembly and electrical wiring of equipment in accordance with work instructions and specifications.

    * Verify that issued components and materials match job parts lists.

    * Report any issues, discrepancies, errors, or shortages to the Production Management team.

    * Prepare completed equipment for dispatch.

    * Load and unload vehicles, where required, in line with safe working practices and company procedures.

    * Build positive working relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and site personnel while promoting the Company's values and culture.

    * Undertake additional duties, appropriate to the role, and collaborate with colleagues to support the continued success of the business.

    About you:

    We welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate:

    * The ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

    * The ability to work effectively to production schedules and deadlines.

    * Experience in a similar production, assembly, or electrical role.

    * A sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices.

    * Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritise workloads.

    * A positive approach to problem-solving and adapting to changing priorities or specifications.

    * A commitment to fostering a respectful workplace that values inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunities.

    Desirable

    * Understanding of control panel manufacture.

    * Experience of working on customer or construction sites.

    * Experience of continuous improvement methodologies.

    * GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science.

    * City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering.

    * Qualification to the current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
