How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Work closely with supervisors, planners and operational teams to ensure efficient service delivery

    * Complete risk assessments and adhere to health and safety procedures at all times

    * Deliver excellent customer service when working within residents' homes

    * Participate in emergency call-out and out-of-hours rotas when necessary

    Essential Requirements

    * NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing (or equivalent)

    * Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems Certificate

    * Previous experience across multiple trades, including tiling, carpentry, plastering and decorating

    * Ability to safely isolate and test electrical components

    * Full UK driving licence

    * Own professional tool kit

    * Experience within social housing repairs and maintenance

    * Strong understanding of health and safety practices

    * High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

    What's on Offer?

    Salary up to £40,660, depending on experience

    Company van and fuel card

    23 days annual leave plus bank holidays

    Long-service recognition awards

    Access to a comprehensive employee benefits platform offering discounts on retail, travel, entertainment and wellbeing services

    One paid volunteering day per year

    Ongoing training and development opportunities

    Clear pathways for career progression within a growing organisation

    Why Apply?

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor delivering essential maintenance services within the social housing sector. My client is committed to investing in its people, providing long-term job security, career development opportunities and a supportive working environment where quality and customer service are valued.
