How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant SEND experience who is passionate about supporting children to overcome barriers to learning, develop their confidence and achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider school team to provide consistent, nurturing and tailored support throughout the school day.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism, ADHD and additional learning needs.

    * Support the pupil to access learning and participate positively within the classroom.

    * Adapt and differentiate activities to suit the pupil's individual learning needs.

    * Provide patient, consistent and nurturing support throughout the school day.

    * Help the pupil develop their confidence, independence, communication and social skills.

    * Support transitions between lessons, activities and different areas of the school.

    * Implement individualised strategies and approaches agreed by the school and SEND team.

    * Support the pupil in accessing alternative and tailored learning provisions outside of the classroom, designed around their individual needs and interests.

    * Help create a calm, structured and predictable environment where the pupil feels safe and supported.

    * Promote positive behaviour through consistent, agreed strategies.

    * Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider team to monitor progress and adapt support where necessary.

    * Maintain appropriate records and communicate effectively with relevant staff.

    * Promote the pupil's safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.

    The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for someone who is:

    * Patient, caring and nurturing, with a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.

    * Experienced in supporting children with Autism and/or ADHD.

    * Confident providing 1:1 support within a school environment.

    * Calm and consistent when managing challenging or unexpected situations.

    * Able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.

    * Creative and adaptable in their approach to learning and engagement.

    * Understanding of the importance of personalised and child-centred support.

    * A strong communicator who works effectively as part of a wider team.

    * Committed to helping children develop independence, confidence and positive outcomes.
