How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Spec

Be the driving force behind day-to-day F&B delivery across the whole site

This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of one of Surrey's busiest visitor attractions.

At my client, you'll take day-to-day ownership of F&B delivery across every outlet on site – café, restaurant, grab-and-go kiosks, and seasonal or event catering – serving over 250,000 visitors a year. You'll be the person on the floor making sure every outlet runs smoothly, every day, allowing the F&B Manager to focus on strategy, growth, and commercial development.

This role is ideal for an experienced team leader or supervisor ready for their next step up – moving beyond a single outlet or shift to help lead operations across the whole F&B offering.

    What you'll be doing:

Run the day-to-day across every outlet

Take operational responsibility for F&B delivery across the site, not just one outlet:

    Restaurant and café
    Grab-and-go kiosks
    Seasonal and event catering
You'll move between outlets as needed, spotting and resolving issues before they escalate, and making sure standards stay consistent everywhere.

Be the go-to person on the floor

Lead from the front during peak trading, acting as the first point of contact for staff and guests across all outlets:

Step in wherever the operation needs support
Make fast, sensible calls on staffing, service, and stock
Escalate to the F&B Manager when it genuinely needs their input

    Support commercial performance

Play an active role in the commercial side of the operation:

Help drive spend per head and revenue across outlets
Control waste and manage stock ordering and transfers
Monitor labour and cost of sale, flagging concerns early
Support monthly stock takes and back-office record keeping

Build and lead the team across the site

Take ownership of people management across all F&B outlets:

Recruit, induct, train and coach team members
Manage the day-to-day rota to meet demand across outlets
Address performance issues promptly and fairly
Act as duty supervisor for F&B, and support other areas of the business when needed

    Uphold standards everywhere

Ensure consistent standards across the whole F&B operation:

Food safety, hygiene and cleanliness compliance in every outlet
Health & safety policies, risk assessments and audits
Equipment checks, maintenance reporting, and timely fixes

Support the F&B Manager to work strategically

This role exists to take on the day-to-day operational load, allowing the F&B Manager to focus on strategy:

Deputise for the F&B Manager across the site when they're not on shift
Handle routine decisions and escalations independently
Feed back insight and ideas that help shape the wider F&B strategy

    What we're looking for

You'll have some experience leading a shift or a team in a fast-paced hospitality or catering environment, and be ready to grow into a role with wider scope. We're particularly looking for someone who:

Has supervisory or team-leading experience in hospitality, catering or a similar customer-facing environment
Is a hands-on leader who's comfortable moving between areas during busy periods
Is happy picking up commercial basics on the job – spend per head, cost control, wastage
Can train, motivate and manage a small team
Stays calm, organised and decisive under pressure
Is keen to grow into a bigger, more varied role than a single-outlet position

The reality of the role (and why it's rewarding)

Our business is highly seasonal and weather-dependent, with peak periods driven by school holidays, weekends and events. This creates a fast-paced, high-energy environment where strong day-to-day leadership has a direct and visible impact.

    In return, you'll benefit from:

A varied role with responsibility across the whole F&B operation, not just one outlet
A predominantly daytime-focused operation, offering a strong alternative to late-night hospitality
The opportunity to work in a unique outdoor, family-focused environment
Genuine scope to grow into broader operational or management responsibility

    Experience & qualifications

Experience as a supervisor or team leader in F&B or hospitality
Experience across multiple outlets or a multi-site operation would be helpful, but not a requirement
    Good organisational and communication skills
Some exposure to stock control, forecasting or rota management is useful but not essential
Ability to lead, motivate and support a team
Level 3 Food Safety (or willingness to work towards it) desirable

    Working Hours & Flexibility

This is a full-time role working 5 days out of 7, including alternate weekends. Bank holidays are considered normal working days, with this reflected in the 28-day annual leave allowance.

For most of the year, the standard working hours are 9:00am–5:00pm, including a 30-minute unpaid break. During the school summer holidays, these hours extend to 9:00am–6:00pm to support increased visitor numbers and operational demand.

There will also be an expectation to cover approximately one 6:00pm finish per week to support after-school play sessions.

Throughout the year, there are a small number of evening events, including:

    Two fireworks evenings in October
Four camping weekends during July and August
A small number of adult-only evening events
You would not be expected to work every event, but F&B management cover will need to be provided across all events. These events are not generally late-running, with most finishing around 8:00pm–9:00pm, and the latest finishes expected to be around 11:00pm for adult evenings.

As senior members of the team, both positions will also require a degree of flexibility to support occasional ad hoc events, training sessions, stock takes and other operational requirements when necessary.
