How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Description

Lead and deliver the organisation's learning and development strategy, ensuring training initiatives align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Manage and develop a team of trainers and assessors, providing leadership, coaching and performance support.
Design, implement and evaluate learning programmes to enhance employee capability, compliance and career development.
Partner with senior stakeholders to identify skills gaps, future workforce needs and development priorities.
Oversee training budgets, learning systems, policies and reporting, driving continuous improvement across all L&D activities.
Ensure learning provision meets relevant quality, audit and compliance standards within a regulated environment.

    Profile

Proven experience in a Learning & Development leadership role.
Background in a regulated environment such as social care, healthcare, education or safeguarding.
Experience developing and implementing L&D strategies and leadership programmes.
Strong people management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Passionate about developing people and driving a culture of continuous learning.
Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Strategic and operational role with real influence across the organisation.
Travel expenses covered for site visits across Nottinghamshire, Somerset and Northamptonshire.
Flexible, ad hoc travel rather than being permanently site-based.
Candidates available at short notice are particularly welcome
