How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you an experienced Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) or Tenant Liaison Officer (TLO) with a proven track record delivering kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programs in social housing

We are urgently recruiting a skilled, customer-focused Resident Liaison Officer to join a planned maintenance team delivering high-volume kitchen and bathroom replacements across occupied housing stock in Hertfordshire.

Working with an established social housing contractor, you will act as the vital link between tenants, site managers, and trade operatives—ensuring smooth access, clear communication, and high customer satisfaction from initial survey through to final sign-off.

Why Apply for This RLO Position

Competitive Hourly Rate: Earn £23.00 per hour (Umbrella) or £17.32 per hour (PAYE) with reliable weekly pay.

Stable Planned Framework: Work on a structured, high-volume kitchen and bathroom renewal contract.

Great Work-Life Balance: Standard Monday to Friday schedule with consistent full-time hours.

    Key Responsibilities:

Tenant Consultation & Color Choices: Conduct home visits and pre-start surveys to explain renewal schedules, guide residents through kitchen/bathroom color choice selections, and establish special access needs.

Access Coordination: Work closely with multi-trade teams and sub-contractors to schedule property access, coordinate work sequences, and keep installations running on time.

Occupied Property Management: Support residents through the disruption of live plumbing and electrical works, addressing daily queries and managing expectations regarding temporary facilities.

De-escalation & Issue Resolution: Proactively resolve tenant concerns, manage access refusals, and work with site supervisors to resolve on-site operational challenges.

Documentation & Sign-off: Maintain accurate resident communication logs, track work progress, and conduct handover surveys and customer satisfaction sign-offs.

    Mandatory Requirements:

Prior RLO Experience: Essential. Must have demonstrable history as a Resident Liaison Officer or Tenant Liaison Officer within social housing, planned maintenance, or Decent Homes contracts.

Kitchen & Bathroom Scheme Knowledge: Hands-on experience working specifically on internal planned works (kitchens, bathrooms, rewires) in occupied homes.

Full Mobility: Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have access to your own reliable vehicle for daily travel across the Hertfordshire patch.

Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal abilities, strong conflict de-escalation skills, empathy, and high organizational capability.
