How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Resident Liaison Officer (RLO)

    Residential Retrofit & New Build

    Full-time | Permanent

    West London

    Up to £35,000 + benefits 

    Resident Liaison Officer job in West London – supporting a major £75m–£80m residential regeneration and retrofit scheme, offering the opportunity to work on a flagship long-term project within a live residential environment.

    The Role

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Resident Liaison Officer to join a leading main contractor delivering a large-scale residential regeneration programme in West London. Working through Skilled Careers, you will act as the key link between residents, the site team, and client stakeholders, ensuring residents remain informed, supported, and engaged throughout the construction process.

    The successful candidate will have experience working on occupied residential refurbishment, retrofit, regeneration, or social housing projects and be confident managing resident communications across a busy live environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Acting as the primary point of contact for residents throughout the construction programme

    Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents, client representatives, housing teams, and site management

    Carrying out resident consultations, property visits, and pre-start meetings

    Managing access arrangements and coordinating appointments with residents

    Handling resident enquiries, complaints, and concerns professionally and efficiently

    Supporting vulnerable residents and ensuring appropriate assistance is provided throughout the works

    Providing regular project updates through newsletters, meetings, drop-in sessions, and resident communications

    Maintaining accurate records of resident interactions, access requirements, and project updates

    Working closely with operational teams to minimise disruption and ensure a positive customer experience

    Requirements

    Proven experience as a Resident Liaison Officer within social housing, refurbishment, retrofit, regeneration, or planned maintenance projects

    Strong understanding of working within occupied residential environments

    Excellent communication and customer service skills

    Experience managing resident engagement, access arrangements, and complaint resolution

    Ability to build strong relationships with residents, client teams, and site management

    Strong administrative and organisational skills with accurate record keeping

    Empathetic, professional, and approachable personality

    Full UK driving licence preferred
