How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

USA Summer Camp helps young people spend an unforgettable summer working at summer camps across America.

For over 20 years, we've helped thousands of participants experience life in the USA — working at camp, travelling America and making friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing Sales & Programme Coordinator to join our team.

This is definitely not just a desk job. You'll speak with applicants, promote USA Summer Camp at universities and events, help participants find the right summer opportunity and support them through the process of getting to America.

    What you'll be doing

    * Speaking with new applicants by phone, WhatsApp and email

    * Helping applicants understand and join our USA Summer Camp programmes

    * Following up enquiries and converting applications into participants

    * Attending university events, careers fairs and promotional events across the UK

    * Promoting USA Summer Camp and speaking to students face-to-face

    * Helping organise and attend Camp Hiring Fairs

    * Working with American summer camps to process vacancies and job opportunities

    * Matching suitable participants with available camp positions

    * Processing applications and keeping participant records up to date

    * Supporting participants through the different stages of their application

    * Helping with sales campaigns, promotions and participant communications

    * Working alongside our US partners and summer camps

    * Providing great customer service throughout the participant journey

    Who we're looking for

You don't necessarily need previous experience in the summer camp industry. We're more interested in finding someone with the right personality and attitude.

    You'll ideally be:

    * Confident and comfortable talking to new people

    * Friendly, positive and enthusiastic

    * Comfortable working towards sales/conversion targets

    * Good on the phone and WhatsApp

    * Organised and able to manage multiple applicants at different stages

    * Happy travelling to university events around the UK

    * Comfortable presenting and talking to groups of students

    * Good with computers and online systems

    * Able to work independently as well as part of a small team

    * Genuinely excited by travel, America and the summer camp experience

Previous experience in sales, recruitment, travel, customer service, events or university/student marketing would be useful, but isn't essential.

    Why join USA Summer Camp?

You'll be joining a small team where you can have a genuine impact on the business and our participants.

You'll get to work across sales, recruitment, events and international travel, rather than doing the same thing every day.

And ultimately, you're selling something pretty exciting — the chance for someone to spend their summer living and working in America
